Madeleine Stowe, born Madeleine Marie Stowe Mora on August 18, 1958, is an American actress. She began her career appearing mostly on television before gaining prominence with her role in the 1987 film 'Stakeout'. Stowe has since starred in numerous films, including 'Revenge' (1990), 'The Last of the Mohicans' (1992), 'Blink' (1993), and '12 Monkeys' (1995). She won the National Society of Film Critics Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the 1993 independent film 'Short Cuts'. One of her notable films is 'China Moon' (1994), where she played Rachel Munro, a woman trapped in a violent marriage whose husband is shot and needs to be hidden by detective Kyle Bodine.

ストーリー
After a break-in at their Los Angeles home, Michael and Karen Carr call the police. Officer Pete Davis responds to their call, showing particular interest in their case. He helps them install a security system and begins stopping by unannounced, often overstepping his duties. The Carrs initially appreciate Pete's help but soon grow uncomfortable with his presence and intentions. As Pete's fixation on Karen intensifies, he starts causing tension between the couple, leading to arguments and suspicions. The situation escalates into a dangerous obsession, with Pete's actions spiraling out of control.
