Melanie Richards Griffith, born on August 9, 1957 in New York City to actress Tippi Hedren and advertising executive Peter Griffith, began her acting career at age 17 with Night Moves. She gained prominence for her role in Body Double (1984), earning a National Society of Film Critics Award for Best Supporting Actress. Her breakthrough came with Working Girl (1988), which earned her an Academy Award nomination and a Golden Globe win. Throughout the '90s, she had varied roles including Buffalo Girls (1995) and RKO 281 (1999), both earning Golden Globe nominations, and Shining Through (1992), for which she received a Golden Raspberry Award. She also returned to Broadway in Chicago (2003) and acted in films like Autómata (2014) and The Disaster Artist (2017).

ストーリー
Tess McGill, an ambitious secretary, sees her chance for advancement when her boss, Kathleen, breaks her leg skiing and leaves Tess in charge of her office, apartment, and wardrobe. Tess pitches a merger idea to Jack Trainer, an investment banker, who agrees to help her despite knowing it's Kathleen's account. They succeed, but Kathleen returns early, threatening Tess's opportunity for promotion. Tess must navigate the situation while also dealing with complications in her personal life, including her relationship with Mick, a Staten Island guy she's dating.
