Heidi Sorenson, born August 5, 1960, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada to Danish immigrant parents, graduated from West Vancouver High School and worked as a junior accountant at a local radio station at age seventeen. She gained fame after being crowned the Playmate of the Month for 'Playboy' magazine's July 1981 issue following her win at a local bikini contest. Sorenson went on to join the 'Singing Playmates' musical group and continued modeling for 'Playboy' well into her thirties.
