Kira Reed Lorsch, born in Santa Clara, California, began her career at age five with school plays and dance recitals. She later attended the Youth Performing Arts School in Louisville, Kentucky, and graduated from UCLA's School of Theatre, Film and Television. Her professional acting debut was in 1997, and she worked continuously until 2002. Lorsch appeared in various feature films and TV shows, including a seven-year stint as a reporter for Playboy. Post-Playboy, she hosted and produced for E! and Associated Television International. In 2014, she joined the cast of 'The Bay' as Jo Connors.

Charlie Taylor is released from jail after serving one year for a crime he claims not to have committed. His girlfriend Randi, who is also his songwriter, calls upon her ex-boyfriend Carl Olsen, now a district attorney in Malibu, to help Charlie secure a job.
