Deborah Jane Trimmer CBE, known professionally as Deborah Kerr (born September 30, 1921), was a British actress renowned for her international film career. She was nominated six times for an Academy Award for Best Actress, winning a Golden Globe for her role in 'The King and I' (1956). Her notable films include 'The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp' (1943), 'Black Narcissus' (1947), 'From Here to Eternity' (1953), and 'An Affair to Remember' (1957). In 1994, she received an Academy Honorary Award for her dedication and elegance in motion pictures.
