THX 1138 is George Lucas' directorial debut from 1971. Set in a dystopian future where individuality is forbidden, the film explores themes of drug addiction and mind control within a totalitarian regime. The movie focuses on THX 1138, an individual who stops taking his sedative pills, leading him to experience emotions and question the society he lives in.
