In a seemingly utopian but contained facility in 2019, Lincoln Six-Echo hopes to be chosen to go to The Island, believed to be the last uncontaminated location on Earth. When Jordan Two Delta, with whom he is infatuated, gets selected, Lincoln starts questioning their existence and discovers that everything about their lives is a lie. He finds out that they are clones created for organ harvesting and that The Island does not exist.
