Virginia Gayle Madsen was born on September 11, 1961. She started her acting career in Chicago with a role in 'Class' (1983). After moving to Los Angeles, she played Princess Irulan in 'Dune' (1984). Madsen then starred in several teen movies like 'Electric Dreams' (1984) and 'Modern Girls' (1986), and earned recognition for her role as Helen Lyle in 'Candyman' (1992). She received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in 'Sideways' (2004). On television, she has appeared in numerous series such as 'Moonlighting', 'Frasier', and more recently, 'Swamp Thing'.

ストーリー
Hot Spot begins with Harry Madox, a drifter, arriving in a small Texas town. He finds work as a used car salesman for George Harshaw and takes up residence in a local hotel. Observing an opportunity during a fire, Harry plots to rob the nearby bank while it's unattended due to the emergency. Meanwhile, he becomes involved with Dolly Harshaw, George's wife, who both seduces him and later blackmails him into an affair after he becomes the prime suspect for the robbery. However, Harry grows fond of Gloria Harper, a dealership accountant being exploited by Frank Sutton. Determined to help Gloria, Harry confronts Sutton while trying to evade arrest himself.
