Paris follows rookie detective Jason Bartok who accidentally shoots his corrupt partner, Leon, during a robbery gone wrong. Guilt-ridden and driven by Leon's dying words to deliver stolen money to his lover, Linda/Shen Li, an illegal Chinese immigrant, Jason embarks on a journey through the seedy underworld of Los Angeles and Las Vegas. He discovers Linda in a Vegas dive, ensnared in the sex trade. Together they evade thugs pursuing the stolen money while struggling with their differing values and allegiances. As their passion grows, they dream of starting anew despite the doom that shadows them.
