Jennifer Jason Leigh, born Jennifer Leigh Morrow on February 5, 1962, began her career in television during the 1970s before gaining recognition for her role in 'Fast Times at Ridgemont High' (1982). She received critical acclaim for performances in films like 'Last Exit to Brooklyn' (1989), 'Miami Blues' (1990), and 'Single White Female' (1992). Leigh also co-wrote, directed, and starred in 'The Anniversary Party' (2001) with Alan Cumming. Notable roles include 'Road to Perdition' (2002), 'Margot at the Wedding' (2007), and 'Weeds' (2009–2012). She was nominated for Golden Globes and an Academy Award for her roles in 'Mrs Parker and the Vicious Circle' (1994) and 'The Hateful Eight' (2015). Trevor Reznik, an insomniac machinist at a factory, hasn't slept in over a year due to extreme insomnia, causing his body to waste away. He's obsessed with tracking his weight loss on sticky notes and has few human connections aside from Stevie, a prostitute he pays for emotional companionship. Trevor is infatuated with Maria, a waitress he sees at an airport diner but never interacts with. His colleagues distrust him due to his emaciated appearance and odd behavior. After a workplace incident further isolates him, Trevor finds strange notes in his apartment and believes they're from Ivan, a phantom employee who doesn't exist according to his coworkers. Driven by paranoia, Trevor searches for evidence of Ivan's schemes while trying to uncover the cause of his insomnia.
