In 'Basic Instinct 2', Catherine Tramell, a crime novelist, finds herself under police scrutiny once again when her footballer boyfriend dies in a car accident that she caused. Dr. Michael Glass, a police psychoanalyst, is assigned to evaluate Tramell's mental state. Intrigued by her seductive and manipulative nature, Glass agrees to treat her for her self-proclaimed 'risk addiction'. However, as they delve deeper into therapy sessions, Glass begins to suspect Tramell's involvement in a series of murders, including the death of his ex-wife. Despite contradictory evidence, Glass becomes obsessed with proving Tramell's guilt, leading him down a dangerous path of obsession and sexual tension.
