Amanda Donohoe (born June 29, 1962) is an English actress known for her role in 'Lair of the White Worm' (1988). The film, based on a short story by Bram Stoker, follows Scottish archaeologist Angus Flint who discovers an odd skull at an excavation. He meets Lord James D'Ampton at a party and they uncover a legend about the D'Ampton Worm, a huge dragon-snake that was killed centuries ago. When people start acting strangely and disappearing, they suspect that the worm may still be alive.

Ram Das, an unemployed Indian engineer from Calcutta, steals money from his father to afford passage to Britain in hopes of finding work and a better life.
