Rossini follows the intertwined tales of several characters revolving around a bestselling novel and its film adaptation. Jakob Windisch, the reclusive author of 'The Number One Bestseller', remains unseen by the public except for Uhu Zigeuner, the designated director of the film adaptation. Meanwhile, Zigeuner is on a quest to find his dream woman, who he also envisions as the lead actress in the movie. Powerful producer Oskar Reiter will stop at nothing to acquire the film rights, even as he engages in a romantic pursuit of the alluring Valerie. Every evening, these larger-than-life personalities and more congregate at Rossini's restaurant, where they strive to be seen by one another, creating an intricate web of ambition, desire, and intrigue.
