Kate Winslet was born on October 5, 1975, and is an English actress known for her roles in independent films and period dramas. She began her acting career at age 15 in the British television series 'Dark Season'. Her notable films include 'Heavenly Creatures' (1994), 'Sense and Sensibility' (1995), and 'Titanic' (1997), which brought her international recognition. Winslet has won numerous awards, including an Academy Award for her role in 'The Reader' (2008). She also narrated the audiobook 'Listen to the Storyteller' (1999) and performed the song 'What If'. Winslet is a co-founder of the Golden Hat Foundation for autism awareness. She has been married three times, having children from each marriage.
