ストーリー

Years after Jean Cadoret's death, his wife resumes her opera singing career and their daughter Manon grows up to be a lonely shepherdess in Provence. Ugolin, now wealthy from carnation farming, is pressured by his grandfather Cesar to marry and continue their family line. Upon seeing Manon, Ugolin falls deeply in love with her. However, Manon plots revenge against Ugolin and Cesar for past wrongs, causing distress throughout the town.
