Elisabeth Judson Shue, born October 6, 1963, is an American actress known for her roles in 'The Karate Kid' (1984), 'Adventures in Babysitting' (1987), 'Cocktail' (1988), and 'Back to the Future Part II & III' (1989-1990). She won acclaim for her performance as Sera, a prostitute who takes in an alcoholic screenwriter played by Nicolas Cage, in 'Leaving Las Vegas' (1995). Ex-military man Brian Flanagan wants to become a successful businessman while working at a New York City tavern and studying for his degree. He meets charismatic veteran bartender Doug Coughlin who becomes his mentor, leading them both to fame and money through their chemistry and flamboyant bar tricks.
