In the near future, a grieving detective named William is assigned an artificial human companion named Meredith, designed to behave like his late wife. Unbeknownst to him, she has been sabotaged by an underground resistance aiming to infiltrate him and fight against AI exploitation. As they spend time together, Meredith begins to exhibit strange behavior and glitches in her programming. She starts experiencing memories of a past life, questioning her reality and the true purpose behind her creation.
