She has worked extensively with the Royal Shakespeare Company and in various stage productions since the mid-1980s. On screen, she played Dr. Kate Rowan in 'Heartbeat' (1992–1995) and had a starring role in 'In Love with Alma Cogan' (2011). Cusack is the daughter of actor Cyril Cusack and sister to Sinéad Cusack and Sorcha Cusack, among others. She is married to actor Finbar Lynch and has a son.
