In Italy during the 14th century, a convent of nuns is invaded by the Tarantula Sect during their annual pilgrimage. The cultists desecrate the place of worship, engaging in orgiastic rituals within the chapel and profaning the altar. One nun, Flavia, becomes increasingly distressed by the religious oppression she experiences under male leadership and the desecration of her sacred space.
