Saint Maud follows Maud, a reclusive young nurse haunted by an obscure trauma, who becomes deeply devoted to her Christian faith. When she is tasked with caring for Amanda, a terminally ill retired dancer, Maud becomes convinced that she must save Amanda's soul from eternal damnation. Her fervent faith and desire for redemption lead her down a dark path, as she becomes increasingly obsessed with saving Amanda, even if it means pushing the boundaries of her role as a nurse.
