Rachel Shelley (born 25 August 1969) is an English actress and model known for her role as Helena Peabody on 'The L Word' series (2004). Born in Swindon, she moved to London at age one and grew up there. After graduating from Sheffield University with a BA Hons in English and Drama, Shelley went on to play Elizabeth Russell in the Indian Hindi film Lagaan. She resides in Notting Hill and is married to Mathew Parkhill. They have a daughter born in 2009.
