Set in Catalonia during the late 18th century, 'Serrallonga' follows the legendary outlaw Joan Serrallonga and his band of smugglers as they fight against the oppressive French occupation and the corrupt Catalan nobles who collaborate with them. The series begins with Serrallonga's return from exile to find his homeland ravaged by war and exploitation. He reunites his old gang and starts a rebellion, targeting French soldiers and collaborator nobles, using guerrilla tactics and distributing stolen goods among the poor. Along the way, he faces betrayals, loss of loved ones, and internal struggles within his group.
