Wynonna Earp, the great-great-granddaughter of legendary lawman Wyatt Earp, returns to her hometown of Purgatory after a long absence to find it overrun with demons and other supernatural creatures. Armed with her ancestors' revolver, which is imbued with the power to kill evil entities, Wynonna teams up with a motley crew of allies, including her sister Waverly, Doc Holliday (a resurrected outlaw turned ally), and officers from the Purgatory Police Department. Together they fight against the paranormal threats plaguing their town, seeking justice for those affected by these supernatural forces.
