In Barcelona, Catalonia, 35-year-old Marcos experiences a sudden life upheaval when his girlfriend Ana rejects his marriage proposal and leaves him on the same day he loses his job due to 'personnel reduction.' Penniless and desperate to win Ana back, Marcos moves into his parents' home. He seeks advice from Argentinian self-help guru Sebastián Vennet and lands a job as a sports commentator through blackmailing his womanizing friend Diego. Along comes Raquel, an old classmate who returns from London with the intention of helping Marcos change his life.
