Lesley Manville, born March 12, 1956 in Brighton, England, is an acclaimed actress known for her extensive work in theatre, film, and television. She has collaborated frequently with director Mike Leigh, notably in 'Another Year' (2010), 'All or Nothing' (2002), 'Topsy-Turvy' (1999), and 'Secrets & Lies' (1996). Her performance in 'Phantom Thread' (2017) earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Manville's stage roles include 'As You Like It', 'Les Liaisons Dangereuses', and 'The Alchemist'. She debuted in 'Dance with a Stranger' (1985).
