In 'Samurai Cop' (1991), the brutal Japanese gang Katana has taken over Los Angeles, controlling everything from drugs and gambling to prostitution. The LAPD enlists the help of Detective Joe Marshall, an avid Japanophile trained in Bushido code of conduct. Marshall's new partner is Officer Frank Washington. Protected by the Yakuza's code of silence, Katana boss Fuji Fujiyama and his right-hand man Yamashita declare war on anyone who opposes them. Marshall and Washington must bring out all their skills to take down Fujiyama's crime syndicate.
