Leslie Clark Stevens IV was an American producer, writer, and director known for creating two television series for ABC: 'The Outer Limits' (1963–1965) and 'Stoney Burke' (1962–63), as well as 'Search' (1972–73) for NBC. He directed the horror film 'Incubus' (1966), starring William Shatner, which was notably the second film to use the Esperanto language. Stevens also authored an early work of New Age philosophy titled 'est: The Steersman Handbook' in 1970.
