Naive but brash and sultry teenage runaway Bonnie finds herself adrift in America. She encounters a series of eccentric characters who treat her as an object: violent criminal Pat forces Bonnie to help kidnap middle-aged Dan Daubrey; domineering lesbian painter Geraldine Mills keeps Bonnie as her lover and uses her as a model; wealthy misogynist Vincent Stackman desires Bonnie as the ultimate possession in his collection of caged women kept in his remote mansion's basement. Throughout, Bonnie struggles to maintain her independence while navigating these dangerous relationships.
