She gained prominence as a writer and performer on Saturday Night Live, and starred in The Sarah Silverman Program (2007-2010) on Comedy Central. Silverman has won two Emmy Awards and been nominated for several others. She has appeared in numerous films such as School of Rock (2003), Wreck-It Ralph (2012), and A Million Ways to Die in the West (2014). Her political activism includes supporting Bernie Sanders during the 2016 election and hosting a late-night talk show, I Love You, America with Sarah Silverman.
