Beckman, a man driving his classic '55 Thunderbird on Route 66 in the 1980s, falls victim to local hoodlums led by Hoot. After they shoot out his car's radiator, Beckman teams up with Johnny, another traveler stuck in town due to his own vehicle troubles.
