Ditte and Louise are long-time best friends who have been performing comedy together as a duo across Denmark. Louise has accepted their limited success in the entertainment industry, but Ditte yearns for bigger roles and recognition. In an unexpected turn of events, Ditte disguises herself as a man, 'Ditlev', to audition for movie roles. She is discovered by a casting director who believes she's male and lands significant film parts, gaining overnight success.
