Grażyna Szapołowska, born on September 19, 1953, is a Polish actress known for her work in film and theatre. After completing her education at the Theatre Art School in Warsaw, she joined the National Theatre in Warsaw from 1977 to 1984. She gained international recognition for her roles in Krzysztof Kieślowski's films 'Bez końca' (1985) and 'A Short Film About Love' (1988), with the latter originally being the sixth episode of 'Dekalog'. Notably, Szapołowska suggested the alternative ending for the full-length version of 'A Short Film About Love'. Her work in these films showcases her versatility and skill as an actress.
