In the futuristic world of 'Rollerball (2002)', Jonathan Cross (Chris Klein) and Marcus Henderson (LL Cool J), top players in the high-stakes sport Rollerball, decide to quit after feeling disillusioned by its brutal nature. However, the ruthless promoter Alexi Petrovich (Jean Reno) refuses to let them go, sending mercenaries to attack them during a trip. Jonathan survives but is left with severe injuries.
