Astrid Grarup Elbo, a renowned Danish ballerina, returned to the Royal Danish Ballet after an absence to perform 'Giselle' with her husband Frans as choreographer. Unfortunately, she suffered from an irreparable hip injury during rehearsals, ending her dancing career. Danica Curcic was born in Belgrade but moved to Copenhagen, Denmark at age one with her family due to her father's embassy work. She attended Sankt Annæ Gymnasium and later graduated from the University of Copenhagen with a degree in film and media studies. After spending a year studying acting at Dell'Arte International School of Physical Theatre in California, she enrolled at the Danish National School of Performing Arts, graduating in 2012.
