In 'Einsamkeit und Sex und Mitleid', amateur beekeeper Robert moves with his family to a smaller apartment, forcing him to abandon his bees and causing marital tension. He vents his frustration in an 'Anger Room' run by former teacher Ecki, who was accused of sexual harassment by Robert's 14-year-old daughter Swentja, unbeknownst to him. Meanwhile, Swentja begins a relationship with immigrant teen Mahmud, while Ecki struggles with his false accusation and develops feelings for Robert. Interwoven are storylines involving a racist cop targeting Mahmud and his brother Faisal, Uwe, the market leader who hires guards to protect himself from Ecki's rage over a product issue, Julia, Uwe's ex-wife hiring an escort, Vincent, who also sees Vivian, another escort and Faisal's sister.
