In the late 1970s, in a conservative and religious small town in Northern Finland, two families of architects face the upheaval of societal changes as the sexual revolution arrives. The story is seen through the eyes of the two 13-year-old brothers, Mikko and Elias, known locally as the 'Star Boys.' The boys' parents, once content with their family lives and small-town values, become swept up in the spirit of the times, experimenting with open relationships and sexual liberation.
