Teenland follows Sally, a 17-year-old girl interned at Teenland, a pink prison-like institution for emotionally troubled teens who have developed supernatural powers due to their mental state. Initially depressed and subdued, Sally's life changes when she meets Ting-e-Ling, a charismatic sociopath who encourages Sally to embrace her powers and assert control. During a provocative game, they are punished, causing Sally to momentarily wake up from her psychosis into a bleak version of Teenland. Changed by this experience, Sally decides to rescue her friend Ting-e-Ling using her special abilities, sparking a rebellion.
