In Miami, a desperate banker named Nick Salinger (Nick Tarabay) steals $70 million from his corrupt employer to pay off his brother's gambling debt. Meanwhile, Haitian-American gang lord Ronnie Ronzoni (Edi Gathegi) wants to leave his criminal life behind and goes legit by buying a strip club with his ill-gotten gains. Cuban-American hacker Izzy (Omar Benson Miller) has an idea to create a cryptocurrency called 'GenCoin' that could revolutionize money itself. Forced together, they unwittingly form a partnership to launder Nick's stolen money through Izzy's digital currency exchange platform, creating their version of the American dream - organized crime 2.0.
