Camryn Manheim, born Debra Frances Manheim on March 8, 1961, is an American actress known for her roles in television series like 'The Practice', 'Ghost Whisperer', and 'Person of Interest'. She won a Primetime Emmy Award in 1999 for her role in 'The Practice' and earned Golden Globe and Emmy nominations for her performance in the miniseries 'Elvis'. Manheim's breakthrough came from her one-woman show 'Wake Up, I'm Fat', which she adapted into a book. She has also worked as a sign language interpreter, incorporating this skill into some of her roles. Her film credits include 'Romy and Michele's High School Reunion' and 'Scary Movie 3'. In August 2019, Manheim was elected secretary-treasurer of the SAG-AFTRA union.

Set in 1907 Michigan, 'Road to Wellville' centers around Dr. John Harvey Kellogg (Anthony Hopkins), a Seventh-Day Adventist who believes in the principles of holistic health and runs the Battle Creek Sanitarium. The story follows various characters who arrive at the sanitarium seeking treatment for their ailments: Finley Peter Dunne (Matthew Broderick) arrives with his wife, Lulu (Brenda Fricker), to cure her 'hysteria'; ailing millionaire B.K. Purdy (John Wood); and former patient and current employee of Kellogg's brother, Will (David Hyde Pierce). As they undergo various treatments ranging from exercise regimes to peculiar diets and even electrical shocks, they begin to question the validity of Dr. Kellogg's methods. Meanwhile, Finley engages in an affair with a fellow patient, Emily (Stockard Channing), which complicates his relationship with Lulu. The film culminates in a chaotic confrontation between Finley, Lulu, B.K., and the other patients against Kellogg and his brother.
