In São Paulo, Silmara is a hardworking factory employee who supports her unemployed father Antero, an ex-convict and arsonist. She leads her colleagues and friends during work hours but fantasizes about pop singer Bruno and romantic Luís after hours. When Antero finds employment with lawyer Dr. Vargas, he gives Silmara money to attend Bruno's concert. After meeting Bruno and spending a night together, she joins his band for a show in Itanhaém while her father moves to São José dos Campos as a gardener. Upon seeing a malicious fire on TV, Silmara returns home and finds the police chasing Antero. Later, she is invited to work as an escort service for Leonardo.
