Megan, a successful Irish artist living in Dublin with her Italian husband Leo, inherits an ancient palace in southern Italy after Leo's powerful priest uncle passes away. They initially plan to sell it and return home but Megan finds inspiration in the palace's beauty and they decide to stay for the summer. While Leo reconnects with old friends, Megan experiences mysterious presences in the house during the hottest hours of the day. Investigating these disturbances, she uncovers clues hinting at an unsolved mystery involving her late uncle-in-law, Monsignor Domenico. Teaming up with Father Von Galen, a Vatican priest investigating Domenico's beatification process, Megan attempts to reveal the truth about his past. However, powerful forces are determined to hide this truth at any cost, leading Megan into a desperate struggle.
