In 1975 suburban London, a young doctor named Robert Laing moves into a luxurious, modern high-rise apartment building designed by Anthony Royal. Initially seduced by the building's opulence and amenities, Laing soon becomes aware of the growing class divisions among its residents. As the building's systems begin to fail due to neglect and overuse, a sense of lawlessness takes hold. Drugs, alcohol, and debauchery fuel the descent into chaos, culminating in murder, mayhem, and misogyny as societal norms collapse completely.
