Briony Behets, born on July 21, 1951 in England but raised in Australia, began her acting career at age 17 after being accepted into the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. After studying there for two years, she traveled to the United States as part of a student exchange project, working as a nightclub dancer. Upon returning to Australia, Behets found success in television soap operas, including Number 96, The Box, Bellbird, and Class of '75. She is perhaps best known for her role in the film Long Weekend (1978). Throughout her career, she has also guest-starred in US drama series like JAG and returned to Neighbours twice in different roles.
