Bethany Orr, known professionally as Effie Lavore, was born and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado where she was homeschooled with limited access to media. She discovered her passion for theater and film during high school, joining Theatrical Garbage improv group and performing at local comedy clubs. Despite pursuing a science degree at the University of Colorado with plans for medical school, Orr redirected her career path into entertainment. She has appeared in TV shows like Criminal Minds and Stalker, and has directed several short films including 'Agorable' and 'Winner', which won prizes at film festivals. In 2015, she starred in the feature film 'Excess Flesh', which premiered at SXSW.
