In 'Species II', a decade after an alien organism's failed attempt to mate with humans and reproduce, NASA discovers a new spacecraft heading towards Earth. Astronaut Patrick Ross returns from space with an alien egg attached to his body. Scientists at a secret research facility extract the egg and hatch it, believing the creature inside may hold the key to understanding its species' mysterious technology. However, the organism grows rapidly and escapes, triggering a deadly global hunt. Meanwhile, Ross begins to exhibit strange behavior as he is gradually taken over by an alien consciousness. The film follows a team of military specialists tasked with capturing or killing the creature before it can spread its contagion and wipe out humanity.
