Set in the late Victorian era, 'Wicked Lady' follows the adventures of Captain Jack (Alan Bates), a notorious pirate who decides to retire after his last successful heist. He purchases an estate and takes on the identity of Lord Mountingo with the aid of his loyal first mate, William (Peter Bowles). Jack's plan is to live out his days in luxury under this new guise. However, his past catches up with him when a beautiful woman named Margaret (Denise Richards) arrives at the estate. She recognizes Jack as a pirate from years ago and threatens to expose him unless he marries her. Meanwhile, William secretly courts another woman, Lucy (Maruschka Detmers), who is also drawn to Jack's charm. As Jack struggles to keep his true identity hidden while navigating these romantic entanglements, his past continues to haunt him.
