Will Henry (Jemaine Clement), a recently divorced graphic novelist and single father to young twin daughters, finds himself struggling with writer's block while balancing his responsibilities as both a parent and an art teacher. As he navigates the complexities of co-parenting with his ex-wife, Charlie (Stephanie Allynne), Will begins a relationship with Kat (Regina Hall), a fellow teacher who is also a single mother. Meanwhile, his students become increasingly demanding, and one student in particular challenges his teaching methods.
