Epizodist (2011) follows Boshko, a former TV actor who has fallen on hard times. Once famous for his role in a popular Macedonian soap opera, he now struggles with alcoholism and isolation. The film begins with Boshko receiving a letter from his estranged daughter Ana, who lives abroad with her mother. Ana is getting married and invites him to the wedding, but he lacks the money for travel expenses. Desperate, Boshko starts drinking heavily again. Meanwhile, his former co-star, Kico, visits him, hoping to persuade Boshko to return to acting. Boshko initially refuses, but after learning that Ana is marrying a wealthy man she barely knows, he decides to confront her and seek money for the journey. He travels to Belgrade with Kico, who secures him a small role in a film. However, upon reaching Ana's wedding venue, Boshko disrupts the ceremony, leading to dramatic consequences.
Epizodist is a Macedonian drama directed by Igor Aleksov and written by Aleksandar Rusjakov. The film premiered at the 34th Moscow International Film Festival and was praised for its powerful performances and unflinching portrayal of Boshko's downward spiral.
