Virginie Ledoyen, born Virginie Fernandez on November 15, 1976, began her career at age two with television advertisements and made her film debut at ten in 'Les exploits d'un jeune Don Juan'. She was nominated for a César award for most promising actress three times consecutively starting from 1993. Her international breakthrough came in 1999 when she became an ambassador for L'Oréal, leading to her role in 'The Beach' (2000) with Leonardo DiCaprio.

In the small French mining town of Decazeville, best friends Johanna and Jeanne discover their incredible musical talent while performing with their group The Sirens at a local Miners' Ball. A new friend of Johanna's, Luc, helps them record a demo tape with an arranger named Jasper. When they learn about a music contest for single artists only, Johanna is chosen to represent them due to her striking resemblance to Jeanne onstage. Johanna becomes an overnight sensation after her live TV performance, but unbeknownst to the audience, it's actually Jeanne's voice they're hearing, as Jasper switches out Johanna's microphone with a recording of Jeanne singing. This deception sets off a chain reaction that snowballs their lives from there.
