Lina Romay, born in Barcelona in 1954, studied arts after graduating from high school and married actor Ramon Ardid. She began acting in stage productions and later appeared in over a hundred films directed by Jesús Franco, many of them horror movies like 'The Bare Breasted Countess' and 'Jack the Ripper'. Although credited as co-director in some films, it was likely for business reasons as claimed by Antonio Mayans. Romay lived with Franco for nearly four decades before officially marrying him in 2008. She died from cancer in Málaga, Spain at age 57 in 2012.

Peggy Markoff, known for her role as Lady Doriana Grey in 'Die Marquise von Sade' (1976), was an enigmatic figure who lived in an isolated castle with her twin sister, institutionalized due to insanity since a young age.
